You should definately contact your primary doctor while you do research on your own. There are many websites that offer symptom checkers that can give you answers to your current health issue.

You should have a primary care physician who reviews all of your test, regardless of which specialist did them, to help you determine your next move.

Do not begin to self diagnose. This could lead you to a false conclusion and make you begin self treatment that could be counter productive. The best idea for some one with a mystery diagnosis is to see a qualified General Practitioner, he/she may refer you to a specialist.

Keeping a journal every day that records varying symptoms as well as fluctuations in bodily functions such as temperature, bathroom habits, eating and drinking, etc. Make a clear list of symptoms and decide which, if any, you had prior to the rest of your symptoms, i.e. the first symptom you had. Additionally, ask to be referred to a specialist.

You can search on the internet to find a cause of an illness that is undiagnosed. The library is also another source of information. You could look up medical reports by the American Medical Association.

If you are self diagnosed then it is probably best to save your pride for another time and talk with a certified doctor.

Do your own research online. Look up your symptoms. Go to a library and do research. Get an in-home medical book and look through it. Ask a nurse if you know one well enough.
