Jesus spoke in parables, such as The Good Samaritan or the Vineyard. The New Testament also has stories about what Jesus did, such as healings and exorcisms. Jesus' most famous sermon is the Sermon of the Mountain. The New Testament contains also stories about the early church, the deeds of Paul, Peter and the other apostles.

The New Testament consists of letters and histories. Parables are stories told by Jesus to illustrate a point. They are found in the first four books of the New Testament.
