Getting 30-45 minutes of continuous exercise each day has many health benefits. It can lower your blood pressure, increase/strengthen cardiac muscle and give you more stamina. Walking outside is also good, so you can get the benefits of fresh air and Vitamin D from the sun.

The many benefits of walking include increased oxygen flow through out the entire body (this also benefits the respiratory and brain functions), strengthens joints, muscles and bones, helps to regulate blood flow (this benefits the heart), maintaining a balanced weight (this helps to lower blood pressure) and walking also helps to decrease the risk of osteoporosis development.

Walking is one of the most effective exercises that burn fat at a reasonable level of stress and time. Some of the other good things about it is that it's easy, it's relaxing, and it's FREE.

Walking builds strong bones as well as being good for your heart. Walking will raise your "good cholesterol" as well as overall lower your overall cholesterol.
