Obscure english words depend upon what area of the country you are from and what country you are from. It is important to remember that just because something was once apart of standard english it is not always acceptable. Looking in older versions of the bible like the king james or the breeches bible can be a place to start.

Well there are many obscure english words like bloody. A lot of them are not known. In fact they are so obsolete that you can't even bring them back. Theres also myriad and cornocupia as well.
