Near earth objects vary. One example would be the moon. Other types could be man made such as the space station or satelites. A comet would also be a near earth object.
A near-earth object is any body in the Solar System whose orbit brings it into close proximity (~5*10^9 miles) to the Earth. Asteroids, comets and meteors are near earth objects.
