Usually you'd be recommended to take anti-inflammatories, Nsaids- actually aspirin is very efficacious, particularly when switched off with ibuprofen. Dr. s are hesitant to prescribe drugs like Percocet for this persistent condition. Physical therapy has proven the best procedure to relieve pain due to scoliosis, giving new life to many sufferers.

In my experience, active release therapy is the best remedy. Active Release therapists work to align the spine and also work to loosen the tissue around the crooked bones. Many times, patients with scoliosis have very painful knots in their back and neck, so a good doctor will address these.

People with scoliosis can relieve their pain with pain killers of some type, although it is important for people to not become dependent on these. If the pain is severe, to use some kind of local anesthetic is reasonable.

Scoliosis does not cause any pain to the person. It is an uneven curvature of the spine. Pain relivers are not advised but if still with pain, consult your doctor.
