Montgomery College out of Rockville, Maryland, offers one-day enrichment programs on campus where children can participate in several workshops. They also have after school and Saturday programs that take place on three campuses. Special clinics for baseball and music are also available. All campuses offer summer pragrams for youth K-12.

Several Precincts in Baltimore have are Police Explorer programs. This is an offshoot of the Boy Scouts of America. Detective Jim Skidmore is the contact for Baltimore County 410-887-2587.

Contact your local police or sheriff's office. They can tell you what is available in the area where you live. If your town does not have a program your son may be able to do some volunteer work.
