One of the best things to use for a sty is a warm compress. The heat will bring the pus to the surface faster, which will cause it to heal quicker. Another good option is a warm tea bag. Again, the warmth will bring it to a head, but the acid in the tea bag can fight bacteria.

A warm green tea bag placed on the eye for fifteen minutes. Follow a few hours later with a chamomile tea bag that is warm for the same amount of time. Honey in water dropped in the eye about three to six times a day should also clear this up.

The very best one that I know is to take a clean wash cloth and moisten it with very hot water. Apply to closed eye, repeat when it gets cold.

Hot compresses can be used to relieve irritation from a sty. Use a clean wash cloth and soak it with water as hot as you can stand to touch. Place compress over eye and repeat when compress begins to cool. This can be done as many times as needed to alleviate pain, reddness and irritation.

A simple remedy for styes is to take a wet, warm tea bag and place it on the affected eye for about 10 minutes at a time. Do this two or three times a day and you should start to see the swelling go down by the second day and the actual infection will begin to clear soon after.

Use warm faceclothes and place it on the affected eye. Also you might want to dab a small amount of antibiotic cream on the eye, just to be safe.

Dip a clean towel in hot(not boiling) water and wring it out, then hold it against your eye. Reheat it often and keep your eye as warm as possible for at least twenty minutes. This will help unclog the pore and loosen the material inside.

I seem to be prone to get these myself and running to the doctor all the time can get costly. A Boric acid solution works for me, but should be carefully mixed. I use about an 8th of a tsp. of the powder in about half a cup of purified water. Apply using an eye cup or dropper.
