What are some great designs for a belly button tattoo?

Before you pick a tattoo, make sure to remember that your bellybutton itself will also feature as 'part' of the tattoo, so make sure that the design you choose can incorporate that in a good way. Tribal, butterfly, Egyptian and Celtic designs are especially suited for a tattoo around the bellybutton.

A common belly button tattoo that I have seen is a sun design around the belly button. Something unique that you could do is a star or tire design.

Well unless you design your own tattoo then it probably won't be much different than anyone else's. It will probably have to be some kind of circular design.

I have seen some really nice belly button tattoos. You can get a tattoo done that goes around your belly button, something circular like a sun design. It doesn't need to look like an actual sun, it would be nice to have tribal features.

A tribal butterfly, dolphins (one on each side), any round tribal design works realy well in that spot,a skull with it's mouth open

Any design with a crescent moon is cool. Also dolphins are nice. Think of something that goes around the belly button that appeals to you.

Well I think drawing a dragon might be cool. Or what about a peace sign with a bunch of sun flowers around it.

Possibly an eye, your belly button being the iris. Or a spider, your belly button being the spider and have legs put around it.

Ive seen tattoos around the belly button that are pretty, gross, or amazing. The gross ones can make the belly bottom a butt hole.
