What are some good summer jobs for teachers?

There are a lot of schools that have summer school programs or activities available. Also, working in summer day care programs would be a good idea because both of these would utilize teaching skills and last the length of the summer break.

Some teachers get jobs as tutors. There are some who work at Wal Mart as greeters. You could apply at a temp agency to see what is offered. I know of a teacher who is a summer babysitter for a mother that works full time. There is a lot of summer jobs depending on where you live.

During the summer, teachers could seek employment opportunities that will enrich their teaching. Business teachers could work for the local chamber of commerce or a large business in their community. English teachers could work for the local newspaper. Often, colleges and universities need part time faculty to teach summer short-term courses.
