What are some good kitchen ceiling coverings?

Some styles are beams in the kitchen, or tin sheets what cover the ceiling. Either way if your kitchen is small and does hold the grease, I would leave the ceiling along and use paint that is washable. Tin tile ceiling are beautiful but you need a large kitchen. They also sell fake beams made out of hard foam.

Drywall is permanent and absorbs sound if it has a popcorn finish. Older homes used ceiling tiles and a metal grid system. It is easy to replace a damaged tile.

my favorite ceiling covering is probably copper it has a shiney covering that appears to be old and the texture is very strong and bold that stands out.

To put Various types of fluorescent lighting fixtures, there is one even though it can't be recessed now with modifying the ceiling. Plaster is another option. Plaster can be elegant to simple. It just depends on your taste, the room size, and what will go with the homes interiors.
