What are some good fruits and vegetables for the thyroid?

For Hypothyroidism, alfalfa, leafy greens, watercress, apples, apricots, grapes, and herbs such as kelp and rosemary are suggested. Avoid processed/refined foods, and tap water. For Hyperthyroidism, broccoli, cabbage, spinach, turnips, peaches, pears, and herbs such as skullcap are recommended. Avoid stimulants (including caffeine), dairy, and soft drinks (among other things).

One of the best all around fruits, and one with the most antioxidants, is the Kiwi. Eating kiwis regularly can promote health in all areas, including the thyroid.

For vegetables, some would be avocado, beans, potatoes, carrots, peppers. Typically any raw vegetable would be acceptable. Fruits would include berries, apples, bananas, melons.

Kiwi is a good fruit to eat for hypothyroidism. it reduces sluggishness.

Good vegetables for thyroid are avocado, eggplant, carrot, beans , brocoli, mushroom, sweet potato,and green peas. But all these shold be cooked properly and should not be eaten raw. Fruits for throid include apples, banana, berries, guava, pear , kiwi , orange and you can also have dry fruits like fig and dates.

Because bananas have a lot of sugar in them only eat half which with hypothyroid constipation is a constant battle and bananas stop you up that much more! Just things I have learned, hope it helps!  add a comment
