J looks very good in a cursive font such as zapfino, as well as your standard fonts such as times and halvetica and verdana.

It's all your own preferance, there are websites where you can download font characters of any type that you like. If your doing something fancy, a script would look very nice and sophisticated, but if your doing something more grungy, there's catagories called "trash" that have very good lettering for that type of work.

Some good fonts to use for the letter "j" are: Jaunty, Japanese Brush, Garamond, Pinafore, Cain, Times New Roman. It all depends on the effect you'd like to achieve.
