A good project using electricity is building an electromagnet. Electromagnets can be used to separate iron pieces from pieces made of other materials. Electromagnets are also used in electrical relays.

A good project on electricity depends on your comfort with power. If you want something fun and creative, but not too dangerous, making a small transistor radio from parts from Radio Shack would be very fun and educational. If you want a practical project, making a transformer which converts a 110V power outlet to a 12V would be useful.
