Most managers are concerned about two things: the company and its bottom line. When presenting something to a manager focus your arguments around these points for the best chance of success.

Arguments that start with 'It would be in the best interests of the company…', 'We can increase throughput time…', 'Experience has shown me that…', and 'It will take less time if…' will usually get the attention of managers. To be valid, these arguments should come from employees that are recognized to be experienced and knowledgeable.
