A good 60th birthday gift for a mom, would be a gift of a day with her child and or grandchildren. Tickets to a play with dinner afterwards would be a great gift and would make a great memory, which to 60 year old women is better than a gift.

It really depends on what your mother likes, but a nice piece of jewelry might be something she'd enjoy. You could get her a birthstone necklace or ring with all her children's or grandchildren's birthstones. Also, you might book a small retreat for the two of you to a day spa.

The best gift is time spent with your mother. At her age, she probably has most of the material possessions and would appreciate a quiet afternoon with good conversation.
