What are some food preservation techniques?

Aside from using the refrigerator, you can freeze most anything, especially if you have a foodsaver-type device. Also, making sure your dry goods are airtight is also important. If you have a foodsaver, this is easy. If not, you need to get O2 absorbers and food-grade buckets to keep your food safe for longer.

Putting food in a cold environment such as a refrigerator or a freezer can preserve the food as the cold slows down the overall bacteria growth on the food. You can also put it in a cooler filled with ice.
