Suitable for indoor growing, this plant does not seed and prefers a shady environment. It can grow up to 6' tall and does not like cool winter tempteratures. Clay pots are great containers for them. They are succulents and hold water, therefore, frequent watering is not needed.

The origin of this plant is Brazil. Each stem can grow to approximately 1' tall and the are usually less than 1" in diameter. It's a clone of the Cereus Hildmannianus. Its a great cactus low maintance and very little water great for when you go on vacation a lot.

The branches seem like towers, hence the name "Fairy castle" cactus. They require the least amount of water of all cacti and can be found in their native American Southwest more abundantly than elsewhere.

Full sun if possible and water sparingly. When you see your cactus actively showing signs of growth that is the time to increase watering. Watch out for cold when it is getting that extra water during its growing spell.

Cactus come from dry locations. You may need to water only once a month, do not water unless the soil is really dry. Many cacti are able to go 2-3 mo. with out water at all, just keep this tip in mind before you water again.

Fairy Castle Cactus is a small, slow-growing cactus native to Brazil. It needs full sun to light shade in well-draining soil. Water them well, but allow them to dry out completely between waterings. They respond well to mild fertilizers. I wouldn't let the temperature fall below 65 degrees.
