Many people get small stars or flowers behind thier ears. My friend even has a ladybug tattooed behind her ear. Other examples are hearts, four leaf clovers, butterflies, skulls, and other small symbols. Be creative! Get something that is personal to you. Remember, tattoos are for life, think long and hard before you decide what you want.

old school swallows are common small tattoo's behind the ears. Also, simple diamonds are common to. Another cool tattoo to get behind the ear is a old school clipper ship. Mostly the tattoos behind ears are old school tattoos because they are the most simple tattoos to do in such a small area.

Popular ones are stars it could be several of them or many of them. Peoples names if they or short or the initials of yourself or someone important to you. Also many people put religious symbols such as the cross for christianity. Whatever you put should be something you like.

I've seen everything from simple stars, hearts, flowers and butterflies to the treble clef-bass clef heart, anchors, praying hands, birds, et cetera. The one I want to get behind my ear is the Egyptian eye.
