Always think about your auidence when you're planning a party game. The best games are when the biggest group of people can be engaged at once. Some board games are popular, Apples to Apples and Taboo. Games like pictionary can involve a large group of people as well.
Any game that is competitive, but not to the point where volatile arguments and fights can occur. A game where the barrier to entry is low, so anyone can play it. And most importantly, any type of game where anyone can laugh and enjoy. Suggested games are Wii Sports, Pictionary, and Monopoly.
One great party game is Props. Split your guests into teams. Each team gets a box of random objects, they then have to use those objects in a scene, or for a funny purpose. There is no real winner, it's just a ton of laughs. Telephone is a old favorite, see how wrong everyone gets it! Twister, another classic.
Pass the balloon. Put it between your legs and the next person has to take it using there legs. Loser is the one that pops the balloon.
Pass the paper. Suck in air to stick the paper to your mouth and pass to the next person who must do the same. Loser is the one who drops the paper

Put down famous people on strips of paper. You put the strips of paper in a bag and everyone draws one and without looking tapes it to their forehead. Everyone else treats them like that person throughout the night and the first one to guess who they are wins!
