The best thing you can do for your cat is to take it to the vet regularly and keep up on it's vaccinations. Urinary problems are common in cats and can be very dangerous. If your cat's litter box use suddenly falters or you notice a change in the smell of their urine, take them to the vet asap.

Cats are most prone to distemper, respiratory illness and kidney infections. There is shots to protect against distemper. To avoid respiratory illness keep cats away from dampness and to help prevent kidney trouble there are special foods on the market and make sure to have plenty of water to drink.

There are so many illnesses for all animals, just like us. The best thing todo to avoid illnesses is to keep up with their shots, and vaccines. If anything changes in the cats diet or life, it is important to inform the vet. There are vaccines for indoor cats that outdoor cats don't need and vice verse.
