Look on the top of the light bulb. It should be stamped there in a small circle, or on the end if it is a long bulb. People can't see UVB light, so there is no way to tell by looking at the light it makes.

A UVB bulb should have a label on it somewhere designating it as a UVB bulb. If not, use the serial number and look up the bulb online.

Mercury vapor and metal halide lights are used to produce UVB but the tungsten filaments used in the incadescent bulbs only produces heat not UVB.
