For a girl in her tween years stay away from characters or cutesy things like butterflies that won't age with her. Choose slightly bolder colors with geometric prints for fabrics. Use the fabric to inspire your wall color and add bulletin or photo boards for her to personalize the room.

You could paint the walls pink or yellow. Get her a nice bed, with sheets feating something she likes. You could put pictures of dancers around the room.
