Ask if the medicare supplemental plan has a deductible or if there is a co-pay that must be satisfied. Also ask if you are required to pay for the service and then be reimbursed by the plan.

You need to get a specific list of what conditions they actually cover. Also ask if there are any time frame before you are able to file a claim and if it will be covered one hundred percent. An important question is what happens if medicare does not cover their portion, will they still covert their part.

Does this medicare supplemental insurance cover vision? Does it cover dental? Does it cover hearing aids or prosthetics? If medicare does not pay, what percentage of the remainder does medicare supplemental insurance cover? Does it cover home health care help?

When asking about Medicare supplemental insurance, inquire about what the underlying coverage expectations are and more importantly, make certain that you are familiar with the benefits provided to you under the supplemental policy. Further, become acquainted on copays, deductibles, and limits on other benefits (how many visits per year that are covered, etc. ).
