What are my legal rights when an employer ask fro medical information disclosure?

My employer is asking me for a medical disclosure, is this legal?

They can only legally ask about medical conditions that would make it dangerous to do the job. For example, someone who does not have the physical strength for a job may be injured doing it. Someone who has uncontrolled seizures may not be fit to operate heavy machinery.

As far as your supervisor or manager they are not allowed to have this information, unless of course you give it to them. Human Resources is the only department that would be allowed and they have to have a legit business reason; example workman's compensation.

If you were hurt on the job then your employer has every right to ask for medical disclosure for workmans compensation cases. You as an individual are legally able to have confidentiality of medical records so unless it is part of the requirements for employment there is nothing you can do. Get in touch with an attourney.
