Your chances of incarceration are less if you have no prior criminal record. Chances also depend on the amount of injury/damage caused by the accident you fled from.

Even with good reason, I belive that your chances of being delivered jail time will be in direct porportion to the injuries and the amount of damage that was caused. A hit-and-run fatality is a far cry from a hit-and-run fender bender in a parking garage. Without more information, estimating your chances of jail time is very difficult.

They are pretty low but are much better if you step forward and the cops dont have to locate you, honesty will help your case.

Well they would charge you with Hit and Run and for leaving the seen of a crash. The max sentence for that charge is 30-90 days in jail.If it is your first charge you might get off with probation.
