What are luds?

I've been watching Law and Order SVU and it seems like they use that term all the time. I think I've heard it on other crime shows too. It must be some kind of police term, but what does it mean?

It is pretty much a listing of calls made by a particular phone number. It stand for 'Local Usuage Detail'.

LUDs are a detailed record of a person's phone calls. Police can obtain that with a court order. It's funny you should ask. I watch those shows all the time and I've never notice them saying "LUDS". LUDs probably apply to a person's home and cell phone records but I'm not sure about that.
