What are cute baby picture ideas for in the hospital?

It's always nice to get a picture of the baby in the arms of family members, especially parents. Using a nice baby blanket as a backdrop works pretty well, too. Also, it would be cute to take a picture of the baby next to its footprint card.

A lot of newborns can be hard to photograph. you dont want to agitate them by posing them or something. I think a great photo for an announcement is a close-up of the baby's face. This can be put in either color or black and white.

I would have to say, Dress the baby up and make sure he or she is awake for the picture. You could take a picture of baby with a stuff animal or to. Maybe you can take one with baby and mom together. You dont see that one often on an announcement.

A photographer's usually offered to take pictures that will be posted on the hospital's e-nursery website for free viewing. If a professional is taking the photos, they will know how to position the baby for the best shots, but either way, make sure to bring a few cute outfits.
