well if you mean decorations, i find butter icing with food colouring make a great base. from there you can create faces with strawberry laces (hair,mouth) and m&ms (eyes,nose)for a more mature approach to cupcakes i find that piping pink butter icing onto the cupcake and adding delicate sugar roses/flowers creates a classy femimine look.

I like the caterpillar cupcake. Especially for kids parties. You line up a bunch of cupcakes and then frost them to look like a caterpillar.
