A complete game in baseball is when one pitcher starts the game and ends the game. This is uncommon. Most pitchers do not pitch more than 7 innings.

A complete game is pitched in baseball when the starter goes the entire game, which is considered nine innings. He can't have had a relief pitcher come and in relieve him, he must pitch the entire nine innings on his own. It's done a number of times each year by various pitchers.
