A clacker is a "toy" consisting of two large marbles attached to a string. There is a ring in the center of the string where the user puts their finger. If you pull the ring up and down the marbles clack together. With real skill you can make the marbles clack both above and below the ring.

Clackers is a toy from the 1970's.They are made of two hard plastic marbles that attached to a ring with a string.To use put your hand in the ring and with a up and down motion the two marbles swing apart and back together making a "clacking" sound.

Clackers (also known as Rockers) were popular in the 1970s. They look like large bolos--two large glass or plastic balls connected by a big string, with a ring in the middle for your finger. The idea was to get them clacking and then spinning into arcs. Injuries were numerous.
