What are Christians expecting when Jesus comes back to earth?

When Jesus returns it will be glorious and every knee will bow. Everyone will know that he is the messiah, but whether or not they choose to accept him will be another matter. The wicked will be destroyed and Jesus will reign as king over his followers.

When jesus comes back they will be released from the dullness of their lives, apparently different religions do mark certain days for his return. The sins of man will be forgiven.

Jesus will take his own out of the world to be with him, and will judge all of mankind for the things two things: 1. Did they accept Him as their Savior. 2. Their actions.
