These are the living parts of an ecosystem, including only the members of the six kingdoms of living things. Biotic factors are broken into producers, consumers, decomposers, and scavengers.

Biotic factors are the biological factors that affect living things. In the environment one these may be climate, how heat and cold, humid or dry weather affects living things. Another is the soil which affects plant life. And a big one is how one living thing affects another living thing.
