I've heard a couple of different female birth control methods. One is female condoms, these are inserted in the vagina and work similar to male condoms. Then there are birth control pills.

It's a long list: barrier methods, such as the diaphragm, the "female condom," the cervical cap, the ancient pessary, very ancient Chastity Belt, and The Sponge. There are IUD's: Intrauterine Devices. Sterilization is another option. The "Rhythm Method" is also used. And there are hormonal methods, like Birth Control Pills, injections, implants and cervical rings. Sexual abstinence is also effective.

A woman can choose "the pill" which contain hormones that prevent conception. Other hormone options include birth control patches, injections, and vaginal rings. She can also choose female condoms, birth control sponges, an IUD, cervical caps, or getting her tubes tied (tubal ligation). She can also choose to abstain from sexual intercourse.

There are several options, some being female condoms, birth control pills, birth control shots, and things such as the nuvaring. It all comes down to personal prefrence and how often you want to have to worry about it.

Female birth control methods include birth control pills, the birth control patch, IUD's, diaphragms, sponges, spermicides (best used inc combination with another method), and tubal ligation.
