To answer this you would first subtract 6x from the -7x to get your x's isolated to one side of the equation. So you have, -13x = -26. Next you divide each side by -13 to get the value of x alone, which would be x=2.

This algebraical sum can be solved by equating x coeffecient in one side and equating the constant term on the other side. The sum as be worked out so that one can understand it better. -7x=-26+6x, this can be rewrittenas 26=6x+7x, 26=13x, x=26/13, therefore x=2
