People believe about God is that he is always with them, guarding and directing their path, therefore He needs to be close, not in another planet.

Christians do not believe so. Christians beleive that God was here before anything existed and he spoke the universe into existence by saying LET THERE BE LIGHT ( big bang ). This then raises the question about where did God come from? We do not know.
