From what I understand, 1982 was a rather bad year for Champagne. A vintage 1982 Champagne bottle, regardless of the producer, will fetch less than $500.00
It was a reasonably good year. The bottle is worth about $400.00. It has a light caramel color and it is creamy and fruity. The rich and full bodied taste indicates that the aging process increases it's quality.
