Upon the death of my parents the four children were left with rights to the house, we are having a hard time deciding what to do, any ideas?

The fairest way would be to sell it and split the profits evenly. Otherwise if it's not paid off and you don't want to sell, you could always split payments.

You can sell the house and then split the money less selling fees between the children. If you don't want to sell the house, If there is someone who wants the house they could buy the house and then give you and your other siblings their cut of the money.

The easiest and cleanest way for the four of you is to put the house up for sale. Once it has sold and costs taken out you could then split the proceeds four ways. If one of you doesn't want to sell the house and is holding out, he could buy out the rest of you. Keep it as simple.

There are two choices. One choice is to sell the house and divide the money between the children. If one of the children wants the house, he can pay a fair value to the other 3 siblings.
