This could indicate your feline has an upper respiratory infection (URI), or maybe indicates changes to the vocal chords and larynx. If this persists, see your vet.

Only if they sound like they are in distress otherwise by now you should figure out what different meows mean.

Most changes are caused by respiratory infections. Runny eyes, sneezing, and a snotty nose are signs of infections. A trip to the vet so your cat's vocal chords and throat can be checked is recommended.

Usually, the sound of a cat's meow changes over time. As the cat grows older it's meow changes. There are however other reasons a cat's meow would change. Possibly the cat is sick, or has something stuck in it's throat. If so consult a veterinarian.

Your cat is aging, and its meow will change with age. As the voice box continues to grow and develop, you will notice a change in the meow. It may also have hits its voice box on on something or in a fight and this is changing the meow as well.

I do not think that you should be worried. It should be normal. But if you think that something is wrong with your cat then you must take him/her to a veterinarian.

Think of a cat's meow like your voice. When you were younger and grew up your voice changed. So to does a cat's voice.
