Should you put mini blinds on a door?

If you want to block the sunlight passing through the door window, or you want to obscure vision from the outside, then it is ok. Like you said, it moves too much and can be annoying at times. A better alternative is the use of enclosed blinds. Enclosed blinds sit in between two pieces of glass and are not exposed.

There is no reason that you can't put mini blinds on a door. Although it seems like they would move too much, they can be attached at the bottom.

I wouldn't, yes they move to much when you open and close the door. If you want privacy I would take two spring round curtain rods one for the top and bottom of the curtain. I would make a curtain to fit the window since these are usually an odd size.

They do move a lot. One thing you can do is to let them out to full length, then attach the bottom to the door.
