Question by  Shane (36)

Should textbooks put the answers in the back?

It would be helpful to those parents who can't work the problems.

It wouldn't do to include an answer without information about the work. It would be too cumbersome, especially since there is often more than one way to "skin a cat." Parents working a problem is not the issue; students must know how to work the problems, and go to their teachers for assistance when they cannot.

You have to understand, kids will try to avoid homework at all cost. Answers at the back of the text book does not help the child if she has the answer. Answers should be sold or given separately to the parents, or you can always ask or email the teacher for the answers.
