I need advice on selling my mineral rights.

An individual has a potential to make money whenever they sell thier mineral rights, but there is also the consequence of having to pay capital gains taxes on the sale. If you sell there is always the potential that they buyer will have more to gain in the long run.

Go for it. Everyone could use a little extra cash right now and the buyers have the cash to give away right now. Don't miss the opportunity.

Review your property deed. Most houses and property include the mineral rights, but not all. If you do not own the property rights, you cannot sell them. If you have a mortgage on the property, refer to the mortgage as to whether the bank allows this. You may have to have their permission before selling the mineral rights.

If you sell your mineral rights, then someone will be able to mine on your property. Before you sell, you should know what potential minerals you have so that you will know what the rights are worth. It could be worth it.
