You should collect whatever you love. Collect it because you love it, not as an 'investment'. Whether it's too expensive depends on your personal budget and long term goals. If your retirement accounts are fully funded, then have at it! Good Luck

It depends what your reason behind collecting them is. If you collect them because they make you happy, then you can't really put a price on that. If you collect them because you think they will increase in value, then I'd advise against it, the market for them is small.
