I believe even built in dishwashers are not permanent. These are very easy to remove and replace in the event the appliance fails. Just a couple screws and a water line.

Yes, buying a house with a built in dishwasher is ideal. If there's not a built in dishwasher you will either have to take the steps to install one, buy a portable one or wash dishes manually. Dishwashers are a great help and the alternatives are not as appealing for you, or if you wish to sell the house yourself.
