Most women menstruate for three to five days. Anything in this range is normal. If you are concerned, please talk to your doctor.

No, I don't think so. As you get older & after having a child your period will become shorter in length.

If it happens occasionally, I wouldn't worry too much about it. However, if it is happening more often than not, you should see your doctor. It could indicate hormonal imbalances. Also, some women who are very athletic and/or thin can have shortened periods.

This depends on how regular you are normally. If you are on birth control and have occassionally had lighter periods, it should not raise any alarms. If you are not on birth control and have had intercourse during the month, you should take a pregnancy test as you may be pregnant.
