English bulldogs are a great choice for those interested in pet adoption. Bulldogs typically respond well to training. If the dog is trained properly they can be great with young children.

English bulldogs are great dogs but they have some real issues because of their deformity. They are hard to anesthetize, they suffer from hip dysplasia and respiratory issues, among other things. If one is considering adopting a dog one should seriously entertain the idea of adopting at a shelter because mutts are often much healthier in the long run.
