On which southern California beaches can you barbeque on the beach?

There are actually private blogs you can google that can tell you this. Otherwise, you need to check with your town about the statutes that control this. There are websites for the State and National Parks in California that will list what you can or can't do on their beaches.

Good luck on popping the big question, I hope she says yes. Doheny, Laguna, Newport, Huntington and Bolsa Chica beaches all allow barbecuing. Bolsa Chica was the most recommended.

i believe it is newport beach that you can barbeque, its a great view and you can even bring your dog.

If you're ever in Tamoca Park, make sure you check out Reseda beach. It is absolutely breathtaking and one of the best barbeque beaches on the circuit. Make sure you check out the penguin exhibit that they propel from the waterslide, it's really quite something. You might want to bring a couple of towels.
