On a CB750, I am getting no power to the coil wire. Help?

First make sure that no fuses are blown or there are no broken wires. You could use a volt meter to check for shorts. Then you might want to consider replacing the coil. I have had coils give me some weird problems. My f4i coil would work fine cold, but when the bike warmed up it would cause power surges.Try

Most likely there is a short or a wiring issue between the coil and battery supply. Check the fuses as well as the connection to the coil.
