My van starts right up but then shuts off immediately. Why?

When this problem happens, it usually is a result of either the electrical or the the fuel system. To put it in the simplest way possible, when one of these doesn't fire properly it affects the other. So have both looked at and you might just be on your way.

A leak in the fuel line or fuel pump can cause a car to shut off or not start. You may notice that your car will be slow to start or may stutter after starting. Have a license mechanic take at look at it.
