My kitten has a protruding anus, is this normal?

its NOT normal. my kitten was doing this and it turned out he was severely constipated. rubbing baby oil on his bottom until he poops helped the problem instantly.

If it is protruding a great deal? No. It could be a sign of a lot of things, including impacted bowl and hemorrhoids.

It depends how protruding the anus is. It could be that the kitten is constipated and is having trouble pooping, and that's why its anus is protruding. If this isn't the reason then the protruding anus really isn't normal. The kitten should be seen by a vet to see what can be done.

While this is not abnormal, it is a condition that needs a vet. It is not "normal", and can lead to infection, or be an indication of an internal problem. Whenever you see an abnormal situation with your pet, you should evaluate as if it were you. Would you have this condition without seeing a doctor?

Yes. Cats stick their butts everywhere, and I've seen more than my fair share of puckering anus' to know that it is normal for them to protrude a bit.
